I win again!

Hey Ladies! Does this mean I win again? First post???
Sooooooo what's up??? I just booked a trip to CT for May 25 till June 3rd. With a weekend reserved for a Bachelorette of someone I know. Hahha. Secret location of course!!!!
Yesterday I almost attended my first birth as a doula. I went to the hospital for her scheduled C section but they only allowed one extra person in the room, and she wanted her photographer. So I just saw her before and after. Which was still pretty cool. BIG baby boy. 10 lbs 9 oz. I think she is glad she didnt try to push him out!!!
Miss you east coasters!!!!

I win the dare!

Becky----you look like giants in your new home!!! But don't worry folks....its just the camera angle! Becky and Adam do fit well into their new home.
SO yes. I am in Seattle! It is a gorgeous sunny day today and I think I will walk around Greenlake in a bit. I am working on getting a job. I have applied to like 10 places so far, but haven't heard back yet. But I know I will get something. And starting next week I am going to start looking for some kind of temp nanny job to make it through. I will post some pics soon...I have no room on my computer, so I will have to do it from Jakes.
We've been spending a LOT of time together as we both don't have jobs. Good thing we like each other. Miss you ladies sooooo much! Love Kait

Back to Life - Back to the Blogging world!

Hello again Friends!
Well its been far too long since anyone has posted on this site so with some prodding from Mrs. Danielson I am reviving the blog! So WELCOME BACK EVERYONE!

A lot has changed since anyone last wrote, including Kaitlyn now living on the West Coast! Yippie for having a best friend to explore Seattle with! I’m sure Kait will share some picts from our first official Seattle outing to the Mariners/Red Sox game we went to last week. And Miss Ciccarelli is now Mrs. Danielson! I’d love to see your favorite picts of the wedding. And get some puppy pictures up on this site!

As for my first 2010 post I’ll share my new house! No pictures of the inside yet since I’m moving on Friday, but I hope you enjoy the below picture for now  You’re all invited to come visit anytime! We’ll even have a real guest room for you to sleep in!

So, I DARE you to be the next one to make a post. I know you all have fun interesting exciting things to share. Lets get the rest of the Southington gals to chime in. It will be a great way to keep in touch with everyone.

See you soon!

Love,
Becky

My Weekend Adventure

So this past weekend my roommates left our mattresses and electricity behind, traveled a whole 2 hours east and "roughed- it" for a night. Unfortunately by "roughing it" I mean we car camped for a night and were serenaded to sleep by the sound of the highway and the glow of the bathroom light.... not quite camping but still a great roommate bonding experience. Although we weren't completely removed from civilization we took some great hikes and escaped from the city. We had an epic "roasting stick-finding adventure" where I managed to slice my finger and started to gush blood. (leave it to me to be the one to get hurt) But we each returned to our camp site with a strong and sturdy stick in which we used to cook our hot dogs (or vegiedog for me :)), toast our bagels and of course make the perfect smores around the campfire. We even cooked a banana with marshmallows & chocolate in it which made quite the desert! The next morning we hiked to Tiger Mountain which is in the Snoqualmie Pass, an area that completely shuts down in the winter due to dangerous avalanche conditions. It was about 60 degrees and overcast that day but it made for perfect hiking weather. Unfortunately when we eventually made it to the top there was no view. When you ladies come to visit we'll have go go back because from the views I've seen online from Tiger Mountain are spectacular.
THE stick! ripping those branches off is where I managed to slice my finger...

Dinner that night - potatoes, corn & a vegie dog! Can't go wrong there. Of course the smores were my main dish.

The hike on Tiger Mountain was full of slugs! This guy took the cake for the most gross! I wonder how many I managed to kill....I tried to avoid them, but there were just too many!

There were also many beautiful things to enjoy along the way :) These flowers grow like weeds in the NW

We made it! Can you see us through the fog?

Ok, thats probably enough from me right now. Enjoy the pictures! I can't wait to see you this weekend! Love you all. Lex, so glad you're blogging with us! Chicky - will you see if Amber and Carolyn will blog with us too! Of course I need updates on all this wedding planning going on in CT!

I'm Here!

Hi all lovely ladies!

First of, thanks Beck so much for creating this! what a great idea! Hopefully this will help us all keep on top of whats going on in life! Even if we're all placed all over the place!

Yaay chicky for buying a house! You're so grown up! I'm so proud of you! Can't wait to come down for a BBQ - keep us posted! And, Kait, I haven't forgotten that you moved shortly ago and I definitely still owe your new place a visit! Let me know your address when you have time and we can figure out the best days for us to get together!

My life continues to be well. Just graduated from my master's program as you all know. And I also just got back from my most recent service trip in Peru, which was amazing! I'll be sure to post to send some more adorable pics of my super-sweet students as soon as possible! Now that I've adjusted to life back in America, I have begun my new "real" job! I'm excited - only took 23 years and a whole lot of school to finally get here! My position is an Intensive Care Coordinator - so basically I assess and support multi-stress families with children with severe emotional disturbances. Its a new program in MA, and its mandated and funded by the state. Its only my third day today, so its kind of slow for me - but I'm sure the crazy-ness will begin soon!

I was sooo happy to read all your stories and updates! Keep them coming!

Hope everyone is doing well and can't wait for our next reunion!
love,
lexi
